Short term (Within 3 months)
Short term is the case that you study during residence period (90 days) after you come to Japan on a temporary visitor visa. Please note that you can not work on this visa. Furthermore, in principle, you cannot change your visa status from temporary visitor to student after going into Japan.
About gettin a visa
There is no need to apply for a visa for short term study if your country have signed a visa exemption agreement with Japan. But please be careful that it is necessary for citizens from other countries to apply for a short-term stay visa.

You must get a short term visaWhen you apply for a visa besides school’s documents, student registration (or employment) certificate and passbook are necessary. Please ask Japanese embassy about necessary documents before you submit documents to our school due to confirm your documents are all fine. Then, send your documents to our school.
Formalities and necessary documents for who do not need a visa
Applicants from country which has signed a visa exemption agreement with japan do not need to apply for a visa. When you come into Japan, please show our school’s admission certificate so that you can get temporary visitor status. Followings are the necessary documents

● Tuition fee: Actual days to attend the class x 3,800 JPY per day ※Minimum 18 days/Maximum 54 days
● Material expenses: Actual expenses (6,930 JPY ～ incl. Tax) ※Please pay after arrival in Japan.

Options
【Airport pickup】※Just before entering Japan, we will provide you with up-to-date information.
● Please take a flight that arrives in the morning as much as possible.
● Avoid flight arriving on weekends or after 3pm on weekdays. If you arrive in Japan on weekend or late in the evening, the school cannot support you if you have problems.
【Drop off at airport bus stop】
Please consult with us as the airport bus service is currently suspended.
【Overses Travel Insurance】
Medical expense in Japan is very high. Please make sure to purchase overseas travel insurance before leaving your country. You can purchase insurance of Japan Language Institue Co-operation through our school.

Accommodation
● After your arrival in Japan, payment is not refundable.
● Time of check in and out of Homestay and Studio Apartment is between 9 aｍ and 5 pｍ on “Accommodation check-in” day and “Accommodation check-out(arranged by school)” day in our school calendar.
● On arrival day in Japan: If your flight arriving in Japan after 4 pm, please arrange and stay at the hotel on the arrival day by yourself and come to our school on the next day (“Accommodation check-in” day).

● It takes about 30 minutes～1 hour from homestay to school. Transportation expense from homestay is required separately.

● “Two person use” is applicable for two persons staying during same period. Arriving and leaving Japan by the same flight.
● The above is only a guide. We will suggest properties that can be arranged according to the time of your arrival in Japan.
◇ Guest House
※ No meal. Kitchen, shower room, toilet, etc. are shared. Internet (LAN or Wi-Fi) is available.
● Please refer to the outline of guest houses in “Guest House List”. The guest houses are not owned by school. ● Check in time is between 9am and 5pm on “Accommodation check-in” day in our school calendar.
● On arrival day in Japan: If your flight arriving in Japan after 3 pm, please arrange and stay at a hotel on the arrival day by yourself and come to school on the next day (“Accommodation check-in” day).
● Check out time is 5pm.
● List of available guest houses is sent to you one month ahead of your entrance day. Please pick up a guest house so that we can send you invoice for fees of your guest house. Please transfer payment to school by the due date.
● You will make a direct contact with your guest house (excluding some of guest house) upon or after check in to your guest house. All payment is completed by school before your arrival in Japan.
◇ Dormitory owned by school
● As a general rule, dormitories owned by school are available when there is a vacant room. Please note that it is available for a 3-month-course applicant only.
◇ Cancellation
● In the event you cancel admission to our school, accommodation or options, please notify school immediately.
● Refund by cancellation
・Entrance fee and tuition fee
In the event cancellation is notified to school before arrival in Japan, only tuition fee is refundable after arrival of your original admission certificate is confirmed by school. Tuition fee is non-refundable even in case of an unavoidable suspension of the class due to natural disasters.
・Options
In the event cancellation is notified to school by 2 days ahead of entrance to Japan (the day before if it falls on school office non-working day), it is refundable. After that, no refund is available.
・Homestaying
We follow the policy in Homestay Agreement Form of Homestay Agreement Form by Nextage Co., Ltd. Homestay in Japan.
・STUDIO APARTMENT
In the event cancellation is notified to school by 12 days ahead of entrance to the apartment (the day before if it falls on school office non-working day), amount excluding handling charge by the agent is refundable. After that, no refund is available.
・Guest house
We follow the policy of each guest house.
● Refund amount
Handling charge (amount which is lower, 50,000 yen or 20 % of the refundable amount) will be deducted from the refundable amount. Bank handling charge will be also deducted.
JLPT Application
If you wish to take Japanese Language Proficiency Test during your stay in Japan (July/December), please check application deadline and complete application on internet before arriving in Japan.
