100yen shop
You can buy many sorts of items ranging from stationery to the household goods for only 100 yen. there are not a small number of items which you feel cheaper than your country.
Secondhand shops
At a secondhand shop, used furniture and electric appliances, secondhand clothes and used bicycles are available at a lower price. Their assortment of stocks changes every day. If you occasionally stop at a shop, you will pick up bargains. They also buy your unneeded goods, so you can ask them when moving and returning your country.
Discount stores
There is a discout store called ‘Rogers’ where everything is sold at a low price. A new bicycle is available at between seven and eight thousand yen. Another discount store ‘Don Quijote’ also has a line-up of low merchandise and open till midnight.
PCs and electric appliance stores
There is a big electric appliance store called ‘Big Camera’ near Omiya station. ‘Sofmap’ has a variety of secondhand PCs and some of them are between ten and twenty thousand yen.
Clothing stores
Big clothing chain stores in Japan are UNIQLO and Shimamura. Their products are less expensive and good quality and have a sense. There are some stores in our neighborhood.

Exchanging money
A ‘kin-ken’ shop (a shop where you can buy and sell gift certificates, other coupons, etc.) is convenient when you exchange foreign money in Japan. Their business hours are longer than banks and they open during weekend. They deal with Korean won and Chinese yuan as well as US dollars.
